2013 was a wash......we'll see about 2014

  1. So, I'm sitting here, looking at the Google blogger page, that has changed drastically since the last time I used it two years ago......I can't figure out how to put more in with my blog. This is kind of confusing, I thought this would work like a normal computer program where you type your title and then you drop down to an area on the screen where you enter the text that goes with the title of the blog? Instead I have the title, but can't seem to enter more information in the part of the screen where there should be text, which I would assume would be the blogging part! So, I created the title which you see above, but, this is going to have to suffice for the body of the blog text, as I can get nothing else to work. Sigh......technology..........sucks for most of us simpletons.

    Okay, so, on I go!

2013 was a wash..............mostly I babysat my grandson Shane, and ate food. I knitted a bit, played too much World of Warcraft, and accomplished pretty much nothing. I did manage to gain and lose, and gain and lose, and gain and lose about four pounds, consistantly, never more, never less. I am stuck in a rut. A rut of age, and I don't like it. I'm fat, and I don't like it. I'm frustrated with our society, and I don't like it. I'm frustrated with pretty much my whole life and I don't like it. The highlights for me are when I get to go to Disneyland and escape reality, and (in my mind) be a child again. I love going to Disneyland, I love sitting and watching the kids who are enjoying their time there, or not. There are a LOT of screaming, tired, exhausted children in Disneyland, and they are quite hilarious to see. They remind me that I can't do those things......like cry because I'm not getting my way.

I love Disneyland, because it's about the only place on earth where there is a musical soundtrack that goes with the place you are. The music, the detail to every thing there. The unsurpassed quality of design, the friendliness of every employee, the fact that they notice when you have a button that says it's your birthday, or your anniversary......what ever your special day is, if you have a button declaring it, the people who work at Disneyland will notice, and will comment or congratulate, they go out of their way to make your day there something very special. All of life should be like this..........all of life. Isn't it what God would have us do? To treat others as kindly as possible? To notice the good things in others and point them them? That happens in Disneyland. I go there to feel good, because people there make me feel good.
